What to Wear to a Fall Wedding
My baby sister is getting married this weekend and I’m so incredibly excited for her! I can’t wait! She’s been kind enough to test run Bachelorette Bingo and Bridal Shower Bingo for me and I made her a custom set of Wedding Bingo. I’ll be offering a customization option for Wedding Bingo soon so make sure you’re on the mailing list to find out as soon as it is available.
For today’s outfit post, it seemed fitting to show what I’ll be wearing to her wedding (more or less). The base of it al is a sleeveless, navy dress with a bit of volume in the skirt. Since it is officially fall (yay!), I’m pairing it with burgundy flats - I gave up wearing heels to weddings years ago.
The feature of my outfit is a small navy fascinator. I’m totally jealous of the Brits who wear fascinators and hats to weddings so I’m trying to make it a trend here. So start wearing fascinators to US weddings and help me out!
Since the fascinator is clearly the stand-out piece of the outfit, I’m keeping the jewelry simple with small gold bar earrings and a gold circle necklace. The metallic clutch pictured here is a little more sparkly than mine but I can’t resist a chance to carry it and I think it matches nicely without drawing attention away from the fascinator. Finally, since its an evening fall wedding, I’m topping it all off with a burgundy wrap in case I get chilly.
